On October 8, 2016, Jennifer and Adam, two people who are madly in love, exchanged vows at Winthrop University. Their wedding was stunning, as can easily
be seen in the below photographs, but beneath the surface is their love story, which adds even more “oohs” and “aahs” to their wedding day.
A Firefighter and a Bubblegum Machine Walk into a Bar…
No, this isn’t the start of a joke—it’s the start of Jennifer and Adam’s love story! The couple met at a Halloween party at Charlotte’s Music, Monsters, and Mayhem Night. Adam was dressed as a firefighter, and Jennifer wore a quirky bubblegum machine costume. Sparks flew, and the pair immediately hit it off. Adam was charmed by Jennifer’s smile, while Jennifer was charmed by the hotness of the faux firefighter—and how much fun he was.
Popping the Question
Adam was sneaky when it came to proposing to Jennifer. She recounts: “Adam had a friend set up an area on one of the small islands on Lake Wylie. We went out on the boat like we always do, but this time he suggested we find a good place to eat our dinner instead of trying to eat on the boat. He parked us at the island, we got out, and as we were walking, he asked that I close my eyes and guided me around the island until we got to where everything was set up. When I opened my eyes, I was standing on a white sheet, surrounded by tiki torches that were attached together with thread, and from the thread, our favorite pictures were hanging. Rose pedals were spread over the sheet, and the sun was just setting over the water. He got down on a knee and asked.” In a word? Adam’s method of popping the question was “perfect!”
A Gorgeous Venue
Jennifer and Adam got married at McBryde Hall in Winthrop
University, a gorgeous space worthy of the occasion. Located at 701 Oakland Avenue in Rock Hill, the site provided an ideal ceremony and reception
area for the couple and their 150 guests.
The Love Is Strong Between These Two
As you can likely tell from Jennifer and Adam’s story and their wedding photographs, the love they hold for each other is insurmountable. These two were
made for each other. They enjoy each other’s company and always have a blast together—the basis for a strong and lasting relationship. And they
enjoy doing the same things—being on the lake, spending time outdoors, having date nights, and more. These two are in it for the long haul, and
we have no doubts that their relationship will be one for the ages.
Jennifer and Adam's big day wouldn't have been possible without all the incredible vendors that came together to make it happen. These vendors include: Wedding Reception Coordinator Jennifer Lackey, Reverend Grayson Lucky, florist Ribald Farms, Sweet Scene Cakes, makeup artist and hairstylist Nada & Sheng, Aramark with Winthrop, and Split Second Sound.
Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Jennifer and Adam, and we at Fusion Photography Studio loved playing a part in their big day. This couple will undoubtedly stick together through thick and thin…and they’re sure to have fun during every moment.
