Winston Salem Wedding | Sara + Jon

You may have met Sara and Jon when their beautiful (seriously, speechlessly beautiful) engagement session was featured on our blog last September. You are missing out if you haven't checked it out; true love personified - and that's not just me sweet talking.  I would never have imagined these two could have topped the magic they showed us during their engagement session, but they did it.  As I went through the images from their wedding at Wake Forest University, the first thing that came to mind was "overshare."  I LOVED all of them.  I want to show you each and every moment Deevo captured, but as hard as it was I narrowed it down to, you know, a couple dozen.

Reynolda Hall at Wake Forest University decorated for Christmas

Sara and Jon were married at Davis Chapel and then held their wedidng reception at Reynolda Hall on the Wake Forest campus in Winston Salem.  These two were married mid Decemeber of last year so the campus was decorated for the holiday season.  Reynolda Hall was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations on their wedding day, showing why brides and grooms so often pick this season to tie the knot.

These high school sweet hearts chose to keep their wedding day a bit more traditional by spending the entire day separate until the bride walked through the doors at the ceremony. We captured some incredible images of both of them as they prepared for the moment that they would become husband and wife.  The stained glass windows throughout Davis Chapel helped create an impeccable image of the bride's wedding shoes.  The contrast of the sleek new heels and the striations of the hand blown glass window is the perfect juxtaposition of the old and new, and the light peeks through her shoes flawlessly.

And we all know that Dress Blue photograph beautifully - every single time. A story can be told through this uniform.

The best part of a bride and groom truly remaining separate (meaning no pictures snapped of the bridal party prior the ceremony) is that their first look is a true first look.  The love and raw emotion of that very moment is captured and eternalized in a photograph. The feelings expressed through these two tell their love story, and it shows beautifully in their images.

After the newlyweds said "I do" and sealed their marriage with a kiss they headed to the Magnolia Room at Reynolda Hall.  They most certainly achieved their wish of a day filled with love, family and "a lot of fun."  Their charisma and story book love aided in the incredible images Deevo was able to capture throughout the journey of their wedding day.

I wasn't exaggerating when I said the amazing images of these newlyweds were bountiful.  This is truly narrowing it down! Both Sara and Jon are at ease in front of the camera and it 100% allows their true emotions to be conveyed through each photograph.  These are the images we all fantasize about when newly engaged.  These images are a testament to their friendship and true love.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Fusion Photography for our wedding, and were so thrilled to have worked with Deevo and his team. He lent a hand to almost every aspect for our wedding, even borrowing a leaf blower to ensure we had a clean outdoor pavilion.
