Jen and Adam met at Halloween party at Charlotte's Music Monsters and Mayhem night. Adam was dressed up as a firefighter and I was dressed up as a bubblegum machine! Adam noticed this "hot girl" smiling and laughing all the time and was determined to meet her. Jen's first impression of Adam - "hot and able to have fun".
Jennifer realized that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Adam during an fund raiser for work - casino night. "We got all dressed up, had a wonderful dinner, met with friends and then went to the event. For me Adam made me feel so beautiful and important and he seemed very proud to be with me. And of course we had a blast like we always do together."
How did he propose?
Adam had a friend set up an area on one of the small islands on Lake Wylie. We went out on the boat like we always do, but this time he suggested we find a good place to eat our dinner instead of trying to eat on the boat. He parked us at the island, we got out and as we were walking he ask that I close my eyes and guided me around the island until we got to where everything was set up. When I opened my eyes I was standing on a white sheet, surrounded by tiki torches that were attached together with thread and from the thread our favorite pictures were hanging. Rose pedals were spread over the sheet and the sun was just setting over the water. At that time he got down on a knee and asked. Perfect!
Jennifer brought along her scrabble game and at dusk we spelled out "LOVE" using her ring for the O - yes not original, but oh so cute!
Jennifer and Adam started their session on the streets in Uptown Charlotte - they wanted to showcase their new home to their friends and family...
I love how Adam and Jennifer click. You know when you see a couple and they just make each other smile? That's them...
I love engagement sessions, it really give me an intimate window inside two lovers souls. I especially love watching them open up to the camera once
they feel comfortable and trusting, what ensues is pure magic...
See, I told you, MAGIC! This one is starting to get a little steamy... :)
Brick walls serve as great backdrops for engagement photography... especially when you have couples like Jennifer and Adam doing this...
I love the lighting in this photo and I L-O-V-E the look Jennifer is giving Adam...
Uptown Charlotte, offers so many interesting and photogenic locations for photos, in this case, we found this deserted alleyway and BAM! Look what
The Charlotte skyline, which grows by the day, makes for a great backdrop for photography, picking Jennifer up and kissing her makes for a dramatic, almost
Speechless, might be the best way to caption this photo...
We were in the park - next to St. Pete's Catholic Diocese and we were just walking and the sprinklers turned on, now I am not one to normally shy away
from an opportunity like this and apparently neither are Jen and Adam (love that about my clients) so we did this.
Jennifer, Adam, thank you for trusting me through this photographic journey. I am thrilled our paths crossed, I cannot wait for the wedding :)
