Seven Reasons Why an Engagement and a Bridal session is Extremely Important
Fusion offers an Engagement or Bridal session complimentary with all their wedding collections. We do this for a variety of reasons, namely for us to have a chance to get to know our clients, work out any kinks in hair and makeup, learn about their photography quirks and become your BEST FRIEND for 10 hours on the wedding day!But there are a host of other logistical and cosmetic reasons to consider, we are listing the most important below.

No matter how many times your boyfriend (now fiancé) has taken your photos you will still be a little shy in front of the camera of a stranger. The Engagement Session will enable you to become more comfortable with your photographer before the wedding. If you are not relaxed, your stress will show in your photographs. Your wedding day is not the time to be uncomfortable in front of the camera. Experience always helps reduce stress.

Think of your photographer as a coach, he/she will give you each practice taking direction on certain elements of posing so you don’t look like a scarecrow or the tin man during the wedding.Every photographer has their own unique style when it comes to posing, shooting and “coaching”, this is why you chose them in the first place – you liked their portfolio. Now you get to see how they go about creating these amazing photographs.

Dry- Run with hair and makeup specialist or your own styles. I always encourage my clients to use the e-session as a time to rock out their hair and makeup styles in advance of the wedding or if nothing else give their stylist a try-out.NOTE – Even if you don’t use your stylist for the e-session, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t wait until your wedding day to decide what you are going to do with your hair and makeup.

You get to see your photographer in action and what their photos actually look like live and in living color. This will give you time to discuss what you like or even dislike about the work. Experienced wedding photographers can make adjustments to fit your style.Worse yet, and we have received new brides that actually fired their photographer after their own e-session and hired us.The last thing you need on your wedding day is to find out that your photographer doesn’t meet what you want for your wedding.

The E-Session gives your photographer a chance to discover your good side. Everyone has their favorite angles and poses; this gives the photographer a chance to discover all this.

Women and Men cry a lot on their wedding day – let’s face it, emotions run high and for good reasons. During the “dry-run” engagement and/or bridal session, your emotions are not as crazy, you have a level head, and you are not as likely to shed a storm and ruin your makeup AND ruin your beautiful pictures.

Wall Art at your reception. Most couples choose to create a stunning piece of wall art from their engagement session, this is typically also presented at the reception for their guests to enjoy and later will hang in their home.
