Bryce and Kurt tied the knot on October 8, 2016, outside of Asheville, NC. Their love story is one for the books, and their wedding was just as impressive
in its charming, organic setting. Read on to learn more about the couple and their big day.
WHO KNEW SPANISH COULD SPARK EVERLASTING LOVE?
Bryce and Kurt were paired up as Spanish partners in high school, and love almost immediately started blossoming. From the start, their attraction was evident. Bryce said of Kurt, “My first impression was that he was the cute senior boy with dreamy blue eyes.” And Kurt wasn’t unimpressed either. “My first impression was that she was gorgeous and athletic and that she looked like a girl with a good head on her shoulders.”
Understandably, the affection they had for each other made school a little easier to deal with. “Spanish was our least favorite subject until we met each
other,” Bryce said.
Chivalry Isn’t Dead
Kurt knows how to treat a lady, and that’s something Bryce didn’t overlook. “I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Kurt when he would take
me to fancy restaurants and tell me I could order anything off the menu.” Take note, folks: chivalry isn’t dead.
Having Fun Is Key
It’s vital to remember that relationships, while hard work, should be about enjoying each other. And Kurt realized he would have this with Bryce after
their first date. “I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Bryce after our first date because it was such a fun time,” he said. How romantic
And the fun doesn’t have to end after the first date. Bryce remembers a particularly hilarious event that went down during a cruise she went on with Kurt: “On the first night there, I woke up to Kurt peeing in my suitcase all over my clothes because he may have had a few too many Long Island iced teas. The funny part is that I wasn’t even mad; I thought it was actually very comical because that is way out of character for him.” Stay away from those Long Island iced teas, Kurt. They can be dangerous—especially to suitcases!
Why a Destination Wedding?
One of this couple’s favorite things to do together is go to Asheville, so why not get married there? The area’s stunning mountains provided an incredible
backdrop for their wedding. Destination weddings such as this one can be what you want them to be—tropical and beachy or, as in Bryce and Kurt’s
case, rustic and intimate.
The couple’s desire was to make this a destination wedding that was more like “an elopement with a few of our very close family members.” Bryce and Kurt noted, “Simplicity is key,” and as you can see from their gorgeous wedding photographs, the was indeed simple and rustic, yet absolutely artsy and charming at the same time.
This wedding never could have happened without the incredible venue, Claxton Farm, located at 288 Upper Flat Creek Road just outside of Asheville, in Weaverville, NC. Fusion Photography Studio is honored to have been a part of this destination event and wishes Bryce and Kurt love and happiness for years to come.
