I am very excited to get these two up on the blog because their wedding day is just a short two weeks away! It is getting real! Holly and Aaron came to us with photography as a top priority for their wedding day. This southern couple was after a engagement shoot that showed off that their classic, romantic, southern side. They were looking for a little nature, some fields, and a lake. Where else would take them, but one of our favorite stops, The Latta Plantation in Huntersville? It was the perfect setting for these two, and we caught the sun at it's finest! Warm, soft hues dominate this gorgeous engagement shoot.
We want you to get to know Holly and Aaron now since you will be seeing them again soon. Did I mention their wedding day is only two weeks away? Getting excited! The two met back in 2011 and have similar first thoughts about each other. They both noted that their smiles and eyes were assets they were immediately drawn to. Holly was impressed to meet a man who could keep up with her chatty habits. She also loves his great sense of humor and equally great personality.
The couple dated about two years when Aaron popped the question on Christmas Day to an unfortunately ill Holly. She explains he wouldn't take no for an answer when it came to getting up and opening her present despite the fact that she was a bit under the weather. She was a trooper and ripped through wrapped boxes within boxes, each containing a separate love note. Aww! How sweet!?! Can you guess what the note said when she got down to the last box? -"Will you marry me?"- When she turned around she found him standing with the engagement ring and obviously she said yes.
Here is more of that beautiful sun I told you about. Deevo caught golden hour (if only it actually lasted an hour!) and was definitely able to capitalize on it! At sunset the sun is positioned lower in the sky, producing a dramatic effect that you will hear pretty much all photographers rave about. The warm rays of the sun kiss the water perfectly here and provided great highlights in so many of Aaron and Holly's images. I love how her hair has that slight glow in this photo - see drama! It is as if Deevo knows what he is doing or something.
We are very much looking forward to capturing this couples wedding day at the end of the month. Not only is it being held at a gorgeous venue, the
Separk Mansion in Charlotte,
but our bride, Holly just so happens to be the event coordinator there. Talk about having insider knowledge! So stay tuned...there is much more
to come of this fun couple, but next time they will be Mr. and Mrs.
