Brandee and Brian's engagement photo session wound up being a perfect example of the spontaneous nature that often exudes from Fusion's work. These two were a blast to work with. What began as a trip up to the lake house for a candid sunset shoot turned into so, so much more!
While on the drive up, Deevo spotted a really cool old farm complete with haystacks, rusty barn and dilapidated ol' truck. This photographer ain't scared of anything, so true to form, he screeched the 4Runner (AKA DeathStarOne) to a halt and proceeded to knock on the door of the farmhouse. The owner wound up being a sheriff of Iredell county, and despite Deevo's speeding record, he allowed us to photograph our newly engaged couple on his property.
How awesome did these impromptu photos turn out? Brandee and Brian were open to absolutely anything...our favorite kind of client. Haystacks, beat up trucks...this couple was game for all of it. I personally need to give some props to Brandee's motorcycle boots in this image. There turned out to be buckets of character in each and every shot of these two. Brandee really wanted to do a foot-only photo that she had seen us compose before in another session. We think theirs turned out perfectly. Again with the shoes...Vans and bare feet! Methinks the Vans and motorcycle boots may need to be incorporated into the bride and groom's wedding attire...just my two cents!
Once finally at the lake house, the timing could not have been more perfect for this showstopper of a sunset. Name the color, and it's in the sky right here.
We love the way the Lake Norman sunlight silhouettes Brandee and Brian's faces in this image. It could be a greeting card it's so beautiful!
Thank you again, Brandee and Brian, for being such free spirits and such a joy to spend time with and photograph. If your engagement session was this much fun, we absolutely can't wait to shoot your wedding. Congratulations, guys.
