Rainy Wedding Day Must Have Photographs for your wedding

If you are a Charlotte NC local you have seen the beautiful Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. We at Fusion are jumping up and down with excitement because it means Spring is almost here! For us and many brides and grooms this means more outdoor weddings that will include bright, colorful flowers, very welcomed warmer temperatures, and inevitably, some Spring rain showers. If you are one of the happy couples dreaming of that outdoor wedding, you will most certainly be told –over and over- to have a rainy day backup plan. Obviously most have this covered, but often forget the most essential detail of this plan, YOU! Yes, the food, the guests and of course the alcohol have to be tended to should the weather turn a little wet, but so should the Bride and Groom. So here we are, showcasing our favorite Rainy Wedding Day Must Haves to ensure the two most important attendees are not overlooked

Rain Boots

Wet, cold feet are the worst, especially on your wedding day. While buying rain boots for your entire guest list probably isn’t in the budget, it is probably worth the investment to make sure you, the bridal party and important guests-like the mothers of the bride and groom, have dry feet for the wedding. Not only are rain boots completely practical for the possible wetness, but they also add to the collection of memorable moments Fusion will capture on your big day. Target always puts out a great spring line with so many great color options, and their rain boots are very reasonably priced.

Personal Umbrellas

Umbrellas are another practical investment that make for great photos! They are even affordable enough to cover your guests, as well as your wedding party. We recommend heading over to Charlotte’s local Ikea –How did we get so lucky??- and buying their incredibly priced (as low as $2.99) umbrellas that come in a variation of fun colors and patterns.

This one is probably a little obvious, but so easily overlooked. Towels for you and the guests can completely save the day. They are so important for keeping those seats dry, but are also great for dabbing away the rain if you are unlucky enough to end up in a down pour. They also act as great shields from rain when running for cover.

Rain is often coupled with a bit of chilly weather. To help combat the unexpected, sudden chill in the air provide yourself, bridesmaids, and flower girls with shawls. They are adorable accent pieces and can be color coordinated to your wedding. You can find an amazing assortment of colors this time of year online with Amazon. If you do choose to order online we suggest ordering one shawl initially to use as a color sample. Amazon is always a great place to start for things of this nature because if the color isn’t just right you can return for free!

A Good Attitude

Well, it is your wedding day! No matter what the circumstances are it will be one of the greatest memories you create as a couple, so make the most of it. Relax and let everyone else take care of you and any complications that may arise. What else are bridal parties for?

Fun and Creative Photographer

While some less experienced photographers (and even some experienced) may cringe at the rain, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE photographing in the rain.  Rain can produce such ethereal effects.  Using back-lighting, and other artificially produced ambient light, we can create some stunning special effects! And as we said before, many of our Rainy Wedding Day Must Haves greatly enhance wedding photography not only through the addition of fun colors and great props, but for the brilliant memories that will be captured by your wedding photographer.

Preparation for your Spring wedding just got a bit easier.  Check the weather a few days prior the ceremony day and if Spring showers are in the forecast make sure to have our Fusion's Rainy Wedding Day Must Haves on hand to brighten your day, the guests’ day and your gorgeous wedding photos.

Did we miss a Rainy Day Must Have that saved your wedding day?  Let us know!
