I love photographing engagement sessions for couples in Charlotte. In fact there is an argument to be made that Charlotte Engagement Photography is one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding photography process. There is no wedding day schedule. No wedding planners hurrying us along to meet the next wedding day deadline (sorry planners still love you). If the weather doesn't cooperate, we have a lot more latitude to adjust than obviously wedding day photography. All in all, photographing Charlotte's lovely couples for their Charlotte engagement photography is arguably top five in my list.
Samantha and Meagan are a super lovely and even more adorable LGBT Wedding couple that came to me a few months back. They had seen my photography on Pinterest and were looking for an LGBT friendly photographer to take their professional engagement photos.
We started their engagement photography session at their house in NoDa with their two dogs, who were a must-have for their photos, since they are having a destination wedding in Mexico in 2017 and won't get to be part of the celebration.
NoDa Charlotte, is one of their favorite locations, and Charlotte has many cool spots (and growing) so we hung out at their house for a bit before meeting some of their closest friends at Free Range Brewing Company.
Samantha and Meagan are troopers. I am not exactly easy on my clients in terms of asking them to try and step outside their comfort zones for their wedding photography and/or engagement photography, and these two ladies were no exception. I love watching the transformation during a Charlotte engagement photography session as BOTH the clients and I become more comfortable with each other and the real photography magic happens.
I love the moment just before the kiss and just after the kiss. I always wait for this magical part when photographing couples for their weddings
or their engagement photography.
This wall is just around the corner from Salud Beer shop in NoDa and makes a perfect backdrop for any couple looking for a fantastic alternative for their engagement photography.
Our nightcap engagement photography took us to the wee hours of dusk at this little park in NoDa that still has one of the best views of the city.
Construction has not yet compromised the gem. I love photographing both weddings and engagement sessions here.
