We are welcoming our Valentine's Day bride and groom, Noor and Luay, to the blog this week! They contacted us with photography topping their wedding priority
list; naturally we were happy to make their wishes a reality! These two held a private and very intimate wedding at the Charlotte Marriott Southpark, a wedding venue that is well known to our clients, and that
also provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography. This hotel boasts a fascinating blend of Southern hospitality and boutique European elegance,
and is central to many beautiful buildings, parks, and hidden gems, like little waterfalls.
This particular wedding session began in Noor's hotel room where we were presented with the perfect lighting to capture an elegant portrait of this Fusion bride. It was our first glimpse of the gorgeous smile that Luay says was the first of Noor's features to catch his eye.
We met up with the groom outside to capture most of Noor and Luay's images. Valentine's Day is well known for romance and flowers, but this year Charlotte NC added 28 degree frigid temperatures to that list (that doesn't even include the windchill. BRR!). These two never once complained about the weather, including Noor who was wearing a beautiful, off the shoulder wedding dress. They were very adventurous and eager to work with Deevo and his creative requests. At one point they found themselves shimmying along a brick wall surrounded by flowing water. Anything for that beautiful shot!
Luay was definitely a willing participant when it came to helping keep Noor warm. These moments also made for incredibly sweet images. We found these
newlyweds snuggled in each others' arms on numerous occasions.
Valentine's Day was the perfect day for this sweet couple to tie the knot. They both consider themselves soulmates and explained that they knew they were a perfect fit rather quickly into their relationship. Luay had the kindest (and in our opinion accurate) words to share about Noor: "She is just so pretty, elegant, caring, joyful and eager to reach her dreams." Their love is most certainly apparent in their wedding photographs - and may I say, this is a photographer's dream.
The reception was a welcomed relief from the cold, and was filled with fun and spirited guests. This event was a romantic affair that included only their closest friends and family. They envisioned a day that included "everyone happy and dancing," a dream that most certainly became reality.
The details are some of our favorite things to capture with the camera. Wedding cakes, bouquets and wedding rings offer great opportunities for us to do so at receptions. We love to throw in a little bit of that Fusion glitz and glam with lighting, adding dramatic flair to those significant detail shots.
Thank you, Noor and Luay for trusting us to play such an important role in your wedding. We hope these images have captured the ageless memories just as you recall them. Here's to many anniversaries to come. Congratulations you two!
