I don't really talk much about my newborn photography because normally I only photograph newborns for past wedding clients. I do however love the
energy of newborn photography. I love that there is this new bundle in the house and the parents created it and they are so proud, and they should
be and this baby is so innocent and fragile and everything is so raw. I get to photograph that newborn and capture and freeze a moment in time
for this family and that is a pretty cool thing. I think I am going to photograph more newborns.
I like to utilize natural light and the comfort of the family home for newborn photography. I think it puts everyone at ease, most importantly the newborn. I also don't typically incorporate a lot of props or put the newborn in awkward contortions. I prefer to capture the mother and father interacting in as natural a fashion as possible with the newborn and candidly photograph that.
Ale and Dave are past wedding photography clients that I photographed early in my photography career. So naturally, when Dave told me they were expecting a little one and Ale wanted photographs, I jumped at the opportunity to help them out.
Olivia was such a sweetheart for the entire session. Ale is such a proud mother.
I love how Ale is looking at Dave and little Olivia is holding Dave's hand.
Dave does not like taking photos. It's too bad, he is very photogenic. As a father of two young girls, this moment he shared with Olivia was
very emotional for me to witness.
Can it get any cuter than this? Baby Olivia and her teeny tiny feet touching her father's face.
Thank you Ale and Dave for letting me be part of this special moment in your lives. I hope you enjoy the photographs I captured and savor them for
a long time, this moment is fleeting and before you know I will be photographing Olivia's wedding. :)
