Charlotte Maternity and Newborn Photography with past bride and groom

To say that I am in love with some of these photos might sound cliche... and of course it is, except it's not because the feelings I have for photographing Baby Avery and her mother and father before her are sentimental feelings.  I photographed Busola and Kenyatta's wedding three years ago, and to have the opportunity a few years later to come full circle with them, is why we do what we do!  I get goosebumps just thinking about it. :)

B & K - THANK YOU, for honoring me with this privelage to photograph your newborn little bundle of joy as she enters what must be for her a frightfully scary new world.

stunning maternity photo in an open country field

This country field in Davidson, served as the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous maternity session with the husband and wife.

We timed the maternity photography session as the sun was slightly diffused, but still back lighting the long blades of grass, and it complimented Busola's stunning pregnant figure.  She made a gorgeous bride and an even MORE gorgeous pregnant mom!

Pregnant woman lying in the grass with flowers

I love the lighting bouncing off her gorgeous skin.  The flowers were the remnants of a "custom" hand made wreath we quickly pulled together, and just as quickly fell apart after a few photos.

Man kissing his wifes pregnant belly in the open grassy field

Speechless!  Kenyatta love him some Busola and he love him his newest bundle of love Avery!  Happy Daddy-ing K!

Busola and Kenyatta. you are going to make wonderful and loving mommy and daddy!

Dad holding his newborn baby

My man, Kenyatta, you can't comprehend can you, what holding this little creature does.  I told you before she was born, now you get it don't you? :)

Newborn baby with the wedding ring and band around her finger

The circle [of a ring] has always had significance from ancient cultures of caveman who used woven rushes to the present time using precious metals finely crafted into a ring - and represents as a symbol of wholeness and perfection. Its endlessness is the perfect symbol of oneness and unity – no beginning, no end. It is also the symbol of the sun, earth and universe, and represents holiness, perfection and peace.  I can't think of a greater catalyst than this ring to bring into the world this little bundle.

I love you guys and I can't wait to watch this little track sprinter (like her mama) or a scholar or rocket scientist grow up and I am going to capture every moment for you!

We felt extremely lucky to have Fusion shoot our wedding and engagement session. My wife and I had never been professionally photographed before and so we were probably a little awkward at first, but the Fusion team made us feel comfortable in a hurry.
