The Big Chill Wedding | St. Gabriel Catholic Church | Savannah + Wes Winter Wedding | Charlotte NC

Savannah and Wes have an awesome story. How many blog posts do we start with that exact line? Wes is in racing and Savannah is a nurse, so they are definitely a busy lil couple to pin down. As was Savannah for Wes, apparently...when they first met, she made him sit on the floor of the bar they were in because she didn't feel like giving up her seat! Our kinda girl, that Savannah. Anyway, after much pursuit on Wes' part, Savannah agreed to date him and has not regretted it as you can see here. They had to do the long-distance thing for quite some time, and then finally Savannah packed up her entire life and moved to Charlotte to be with her NASCAR racing fellow. This I admire because I don't know thing #1 about racing, and apparently neither did Savannah when she met Wes. Yet, she gave up everything to come be with him and start their life together. True love, read it here first!

Savannah and Wes had a beautiful wintertime wedding, full of love and life just like them. And it was 10 degrees that day...10 degrees! Can you tell from these photos? Did they care? Nope...just a happy couple. Although we did allow Savannah to put on a coat at some point for bridal party portraits. We aren't completely cruel in the name of photography.Well, not all the time at least.Check out the gorgeous bokeh that the Christmas lights from Uptown Charlotte provide. We love this particular spot, especially during the holidays for a colorful, wintry cityscape.

The reception at The Big Chill was on point as always...this is such an awesome, classic venue to hold an event here in Charlotte. Tyler and his crew have done a number of weddings with us and every single one has been absolutely seamless, we can't recommend them enough. Here's an amazing image of our bride and groom at their grand entrance to their reception:

And yet another image that has turned out to be such a favorite for us, Savannah and her now-stepdaughter/flower girl. True love, indeed.

Fusion Photography was one of the first vendors we selected, and it was by far one of the best decisions we made! From the first meeting, we knew that we would have beautiful pictures but neither of us could predict our expectations would be exceeded at every turn.
