This LGBTQ engagement photoshoot was tons of fun and incredibly laid-back. Alex and Melissa, the two fiancés, had no problem displaying their total admiration for each other in front of the camera. These two are truly in love, and we at Fusion Photography are stoked that they chose us for their lesbian engagement session.
Who says that love can’t bloom from the Internet? Alex and Melissa proved it’s possible by meeting on Match.com in 2010. It wasn’t a “match” at the time, so they parted ways to reconnect just two years later. This time, sparks flew. Alex went so far as to say that upon running back into Melissa, she thought, “I’m going to marry her, or I’ll just be alone for the rest of my life.” Thankfully, the latter won’t have to happen.
Melissa realized she had fallen deeply in love with Alex somewhat early in their relationship. “It naturally developed early on,” she said. “Everything falls into place when the other person knows not only how to make you happy and laugh but when your goals, family values, and morals align.”
The Proposal Deets
When Alex decided to pop the question, she went all out: rose petals, candles, music—the whole nine yards when it comes to an engagement proposal. It wasn’t exactly “perfect,” though (because what in life is perfect?).
“I wanted one particular song playing when she arrived home. I waited and listed to that damn song at least 75 times. It was getting really hot because of all the lit candles. Melissa finally gets home, and by this point, I’m hot, sweaty, nervous, and have suffocated from smoke.” But guess what? Melissa said yes—and just at the right time, because Alex immediately “began running around blowing out candles.”
These two are obviously a blast to be around and enjoy each other’s good-spirited natures, and this emanates from the results of their engagement photoshoot. Check out the pictures, and let’s celebrate the love that these two kickass lesbians share.
