Why Do I Need a Wedding Planner?
WHY DO I NEED A WEDDING PLANNER? by Kelly Martin Head Planner at Head Over Heels Events

As couples begin thinking about their wedding, they are often confused as to how much to spend, where to obtain specialized services and how to choose vendors. These worries often mount as quickly as the cost of the wedding! After the euphoria wears off and reality settles in, it can be shocking to discover how much preparation is really involved in planning a wedding. Did you know the average wedding can take more than two hundred fifty hours just to plan? With today's hectic lifestyles, you may not have time to
compare all the options, search for the best deals and ensure all the intricate details are
in place.

A wedding planner will act as a consultant to help you plan your special day. They are not there to make decisions for you, but to guide and assist you in making informed decisions. As your planner, they have the contacts necessary to introduce you to other wedding vendors who best fit your needs, tastes and most importantly – budget!

Wedding planners are often viewed as an investment if you consider how much money they can actually save you. Planners will not only suggest the appropriate vendors to accommodate your budget but they are also experienced in negotiating vendor contracts
and securing discounts that are not available to private parties. This can help you to avoid costly mistakes while saving you valuable time and money.

Of course you may opt to plan the entire wedding yourself or have a family member or friend help. While this can be fun, it can also be a huge hassle and a headache -especially if you do not have the proper training of a professional wedding planner. In addition to finding wedding vendors, you'll need to check out sources, make sure all the details are in place, worry about whether you're getting the best  deal, and, ultimately, if everything will turn out exactly as you had envisioned. A professional wedding planner has the training and experience to do the ground work and take care of all the details so you, your family and your friends can simply relax and enjoy your day.

When you hire a wedding planner, you are paying for their knowledge, professionalism, creativity, guidance and leg work. They often become your stress reliever, family mediator, etiquette expert, personal assistant and friend. What could be better for the most important day of your life? Just knowing that you were informed enough to hire a wedding planner!
