Uptown Charlotte Engagement Photography | Starling + Aaron

Talk about a couple that is meant to be.  Anyone who meets Starling and Aaron know they are a perfect match in a matter of seconds.  The chemistry and love is so there, but it is their incredible friendship that just seems to exude out of them with every word and every glance.  The best part of Starling and Aaron being a couple is that others get to enjoy them! Seriously, these too are a riot together; like a modern day Abbott and Costelo over here!

This may help provide a little insight into this couple. This is how I first met them...Charlotte Couple preparing for their Wedding Engagement photo session with a few drinks. Yep, Aaron walks up with a beer and shots for everyone. What's not to love? The man brought me a beer to our introduction!!!  I guess they heard how Deevo likes to kick an engagement session into full swing! It did the job; definitely kick started this photo session.

Like most couples, Starling and Aaron met on a typical Tuesday night social bicycle ride.  ;-) The two hit it off that night and scheduled a first date for everyone's favorite holiday, Cinco De Mayo.

Starling took to Aaron immediately, mentioning his great hair and charming personality to both be assets she loved. BUT she assumed he was a jerk in hiding (she may have used more explicit words) since she seemed to have a pattern of dating those types of men. We are glad you stuck around to find out it wasn't the case, Starling.  Aaron said he was drawn to her "incredible eyes," beauty and confidence.

Starling and Aaron are very genuine people, people you expect never meet a stranger.  They are both very easy going and a lot of fun to be around, and with that they tend to not be serious for very long. They tried every trick in the book to not take a serious picture.  I tell you, they made Deevo work a bit harder than normal for some of these shots.  He proved he can tame even the wildest of duos.  That didn't keep them from cutting up every chance they got.

Oh you know, just getting some traditional, riding on your shoulders engagement shots.  Starlings expressions are killer here!  LOVE this trio of images - priceless!

This entire session was a complete riot.  We canvased Uptown Charlotte for some pretty unique engagement photos and I would say we 100% succeeded.

In between these two goofing off we caught some amazing candid and loving moments that transpired. Engaged couple stands in the middle of The Green Uptown Charlotte for their engagement photos.

It was truly a pleasure to work with Starling and Aaron. Every second of this photo shoot was a hoot, never a dull moment. We can say the same to be true about their wedding at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC.  Keep an eye out for more fun and non-traditional images of these two goofballs in the near future where we will get to present them as Mr. and Mrs.

We felt extremely lucky to have Fusion shoot our wedding and engagement session. My wife and I had never been professionally photographed before and so we were probably a little awkward at first, but the Fusion team made us feel comfortable in a hurry.
